Alex, an experienced content writer passionate about telling stories, founded Alexandra McKiterick Creative in 2020. Since starting her freelance writing brand, she has worked with global fashion and lifestyle brand The Trend Spotter, publishing over 200 articles across various topics, including beauty, food and drink, fitness, health, lifestyle, fashion, and travel. Additionally, Alex has worked with Travello and Backpacker Deals, a travel app and website partnership, writing new product copy and editing existing content in line with brand guidelines and for consistency and presentation. Finally, she’s also dipped her toes into the world of tech. Working with a boutique cyber security firm, her role is to proofread and edit reports for sense, style, and readability for multiple audiences, from technical to C-level.

Before launching Alexandra McKiterick Creative, Alex commenced her writing career in travel as part of the Flight Centre Travel Group publishing team, which served as the perfect base for inspiring people to get out and explore the incredible world we live in. In this role, she was responsible for research, copywriting, editing supplier-provided copy, sourcing and editing images, and liaising with various suppliers. She also assisted with a complete rebrand and brochure redesign, including creating a new brand voice and supporting a new product strategy.

Combined, this experience showcases Alex’s ability to research and write across a multitude of topics while adhering to brand voice and style guidelines. Other skills in her set include intermediate experience with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, Microsoft Office, Google G-Suite, and WordPress. She also has basic experience with Adobe Photoshop and workflow systems, including Jira, Asana, and Trello. Finally, she has excellent time and relationship management skills to collaborate with clients and meet all deadlines.
